Konfidence UV Shorts
Lycra shorts will grow with your child. Our skinny hipped 6 year old had no trouble keeping the 6-7 year shorts up (which is unusual for him) and our slim 10 year old niece wriggled into the same size shorts too. For babies, the size 2-3 is recommended for use over nappies.

Konfidence Shortie Wetsuits
A traditional style shortie wetsuit, these should be worn close fitting. The suit should fit like a second skin. Comfortable, but form-fitting. If the suit is too large, there will be loose folds of rubber in the middle and/or bottom area. If a bigger size is required, it will be most evident in the vertical fit of the torso-from the shoulders to the crotch. There will be uncomfortable tightness pulling down on the shoulders and up in the crotch area. We recommend that you measure your child and refer to the chart below in order to select the appropriate size.

This table shows manufacturers measurements in inches for the dimensions shown on the diagram (all have a tolerance of +/- 1/2 inch). The suggested heights provided are approximations, and are provided only as guidelines .

Konfidence Infant (Warma) Wetsuits
Slightly less fitted cut than a traditional wetsuit, so easy to get your child in and out of, and the velcro at the shoulders can be used as a length adjustor, so there is no need to buy up a size, unless your child is particularly stocky. Refer to the chart below for measurements:

Konfidence Jackets
Needs to be a 'snug' fit, so that the jacket stays in place in the water. You should feel some resistance when doing it up with all the floats in place, and as floats are removed, the jacket will feel looser. Buy the jacket based on child's weight.

Konfidence Baby Warmas/Baby Wetsuits
Velcro fastenings ensure a snug, adjustable fit in both length and width. The Konfidence Baby Warma is offered in 3 sizes: Mini Babywarma for the youngest babies, age range 2 - 5 months, the Original Babywarma for babies 6-12 months, and the Bigger Babywarma for 12-24 months (this was formerly known as the Konfidence Baby Wetsuit). For the two smaller Babywarmas, velcro fastenings ensure a snug, adjustable fit in both length and width, at shoulders, crotch and side. Again, for the Bigger Babywarma, velcro fastenings at the shoulder and crotch provide an adjustable fit.

Konfidence advises that if your baby is a little bigger than average for its age around 4 months, then the Original Babywarma can be used, and for bigger babies around 11 months that you consider opting for the Bigger Babywarmer.

UK child sizes 6/7 (toddler) to 12/13 (approx 8 years). Please note that the ankle entry on the boots can be quite narrow for chubby toddler legs!
